Oxford Analytica, an international, independent consulting firm drawing on a network of over 1,000 senior faculty members at Oxford and other major universities and research institutions around the world, released its first weekly video briefing podcast on Friday, November 17, 2006. The podcast focuses on "Leadership Challenges in the United States and Europe" and was produced with the post production services of For Your Imagination. The podcast is hosted and delivered by Vidavee, the only white label web media solution to fully enable user interaction around professional and consumer-contributed video content and a For Your Imagination partner.
The Oxford Analytica online video and podcast has been met with great critical acclaim as it has covered important topics such as the outlook for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong in 2007, the Baker report and the challenges in Iraq. The podcast now includes an audio only version of the weekly video briefing and a separate podcast of the minutes of the week which touches upon each of the major geo-political and economic issues of the week. The footage produced by Oxford Analytica in England, makes me think of the 3 most important things to focus on when shooting, since there is only so much you can do in post:
1. Set up your shots.
2. Light your subjects well.
3. Get the audio right.
The footage will get better as their local production team improves. Keep checking back!
