Podcamp Boston 2 Starts Tonight, See you there!
October 26, 2007
PodCamp Boston 2 is the new media community UnConference that helps connect people interested in blogging, podcasting, social networks, video on the net, and new media together for three days to learn, share, and grow their new media skills. Taking place in the Boston Convention & Expo Center from October 26th through the 29th, For Your Imagination will be represented by Paul Kontonis, CEO and Founder of For Your Imagination during his Saturday Session, "Monetizing your Web Series and Podcast" from 3-4 pm in 204c. Paul will will outline best practices on maintaining creative control of your broadcast while making money and the steps it takes to get there based upon his experience with Internet TV shows "The Patrice Oneal Show - Coming Soon!", "Break a Leg", "The Shirtless Apprentice" and "bschooltalk". The session will be directed towards anyone planning or currently producing a web series and video podcast and will get into specifics of all the forms of monetization and the strategies to maximize them. For more information visit www.podcampboston.org.
Cliff J. Ravenscraft, also known as the podcast answer man, from Generally Speaking Production Network got everyone at the opening event of PodCamp at Tequila Rain in Boston to introduce themselvs. Take a listen.
Allen Voivod, from Epiphanies, Inc and the A-Ha! blog, attended Paul Kontonis', CEO of For Your Imagination, presentation on monetizing your web video series at PodCamp Boston 2 and wrote his take on monetizing video. Allen adds another component to the monetization methods for online video and audio series: packaging your content into a new product with additional content and delivered through other media. Great idea and we would say that is all part of merchandising your brand and content. Whether you produce a book, CD or DVD from your online content, it is all part of the many ways you can successfully monetize your content. Look for bschooltalk and The Patrice Oneal Show - Coming Soon! DVDs in the near future. Thanks Allen!
One more follow-up, photos from PodCamp Boston 2. Thanks to everyone that made it out!
