Branded and Sponsored Programming Hits the Big Time

As online video programming continues to develop and the pathways to monetization become more evident, branded and sponsored videos are taking center stage. For this reason, For Your Imagination is proud to annnouce that Kathryn Velvel Jones has joined the team as the Vice President of Branded and Sponsored Entertainment. Kathryn will be responsible for matching brands with For Your Imagination's strong line-up of targeted and advertiser friendly content and for developing original branded entertainment that meets messaging and reach needs. As the founder and producer of Synchronis.tv, the first web 2.0 company to stream a scripted web drama live to the internet, Kathryn oversaw all aspect of production, marketing and sales for the series with outstanding coverage in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, numerous blogs including Mashable and Truemors, and was a featured podcast in iTunes. A web transplant from the worlds of theater and film, Kathryn’s first foray into producing was Eric Overmeyer’s “On The Verge”, which she both appeared in and produced in New York City and in the Edinborough Fringe Festival in Edinborough Scotland. Additionally Kathryn wrote and secured significant funding towards her first feature film, “Its All Good”, and produced, hosted, edited and distributed the podcast “Question of the Week”. Kathryn has been a speaker at several industry conferences and a Podcamp NYC organizer.
