Yuri Baranovsky, co-creator and star of the hit online sitcom Break a Leg, wrote an interesting look into what it means to be a web celebrity in an article in Gawker entitled "I'm A Web Celebrity. Am I Rich Yet?" The online web video industry is evolving and maturing and we are all looking for ways to monetize the content and the viewers. Professional shows like Break a Leg are in the key position to benefit as 2008 progresses.

Chris Albrecht from NewTeeVee picked up on Yuri's Gawker article, and he points out that a web series is not the best way to get rich right now. The exception to the rule seems to be Ask a Ninja which has claimed to have made up to $100,000 in a month. In after over two years of releasing videos on the web you would hope they could make money. Thanks Chris!
