Streaming Media East Content Production Panel

Streaming Media is coming to the New York Hilton and Paul Kontonis, CEO of For Your Imagination is moderating the panel, "Content Production for the Web" on Tuesday, May 12th at 1:45pm. The panel will discuss the types of online video, audience engagement, production and monetization amongst other topics important to developing and producing web video.     Chances are, if you’re a regular reader of technology trade magazines, you’ve seen ads for the Streaming Media conference, usually held on the West coast. Time and again I couldn’t swing the time or finances to travel to Vegas or California to attend, but much to my surprise, this year the expo was held at the New York Hilton on 53rd and 6th, May 12-13.

Streaming implies media played as a continuous stream and received real time by the browser (end user). Streaming technology enables a single content source to be distributed to many simultaneous viewers. <a href="http://www.vsworld.com/?loadSwf=swf/streaming.swf">Streaming video bandwidth</a> is typically calculated in gigabytes of data transferred. It is important to estimate how many viewers you can reach, for example in a <a href="http://www.vsworld.com/?loadSwf=swf/webcast.swf">live webcast</a>, given your bandwidth constraints or conversely, if you are expecting a certain audience size, what bandwidth resources you need to deploy.
